You’re 10 now. And you are an amazing ten year old. I’m constantly in awe of your generous spirit and how much you care about everyone around you. We are blessed beyond imagination to have you in our family. I wanted to make you a special quilt.
You’re growing up. And in this next decade, you will have a lot of grown up decisions to make. Life can take you every which way, down numerous paths. Sometimes you’ll know that you’re right on target, other times you’ll feel quite lost.
I pray that we will guide during all of these times, and I pray that you will follow the path that God has planned specifically for you . More than anything, this quilt is to help remind you that we will always love you. More than you know. May you be warm and comfy under this quilt, knowing that you have a family that loves you forever.

Quilt fabrics are from my stash with chocolate-brown minky for the back. Yes, I used thin batting and love the weight of the quilt. The quilt pattern is Every Which Way by Gigi’s Thimble (Doubled number of blocks to make it larger.)
Quilting was done exactly as I imagined (targets since the quilt is made of arrows) by the amazing Joanna.

I love this because it IS happy! I canont believe you jumped in and made this after a few months of quilting. Then again you are an amazing talent and youre never afraid to just go for it. You’re an inspiration to me every time you post ! You remind me it’s only fabric and the whole process is meant to be fun.

Melanie,
Some friends sent me your way to check out your quilt in my pattern! I LOVE it! Your fabric choices are fabulous and the quilting is perfect. I love it and it was a special little write up for your son. Thanks for sharing it with us! My son is 10 too and he loves that quilt. I should make him a bigger one someday…now you’ve inspired me!
